Google announces Gemini Omni, Gemini 3.5 Flash, and search agents at I/O 2026

Google unveiled Gemini Omni, a new model that can create videos from combined images, audio, video and text as input. Gemini Omni Flash, the first model in the Omni family, is rolling out to Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra subscribers globally through the Gemini app and Google Flow, and at no cost to users on YouTube Shorts and YouTube Create App.

Gemini 3.5 Flash delivers frontier performance for agents and coding tasks. It is generally available via Google Antigravity, the Gemini API, Android Studio, and Gemini Enterprise, and is rolling out to everyone globally in the Gemini app. Gemini 3.5 Pro is being used internally and will roll out next month.

Search agents are entering the era of agentic operation. Information agents will operate 24/7 in the background to reason across the web and send comprehensive updates, rolling out this summer starting with Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers.

Google Antigravity-powered generative UI capabilities are available in Search this summer at no charge, allowing Search to build dynamic layouts, interactive visuals and custom experiences on the fly. Custom experience building for tools, dashboards and trackers will be available in the coming months, starting first for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the U.S.
