What happened
On 10月13日, GMO AI&ロボティクス商事 began domestic handling and pre-orders in Japan for Unitree Robotics' humanoid G1+. It is based on the G1 (about 134cm tall, about 35kg) and strengthens motion, sensing and dialogue.
Why it matters
The G1+ adds a neck that moves up/down and left/right, raising total degrees of freedom from the G1's 23 to 25, and boosts shoulder and hip motor peak torque to 2.1× and arm motors to 1.4× the previous levels.
WHO IT HITSJapanese businesses evaluating service and reception robots — for example retail, hospitality and facility operators looking at customer-facing interaction — now have a domestic pre-order route for the G1+ through GMO AI&ロボティクス商事.

The G1+ is not a new platform but a refresh of Unitree Robotics' G1, and the changes listed by GMO AI&ロボティクス商事 focus on areas that matter for customer-facing work. A neck that moves up, down, left and right lifts the total degrees of freedom from 23 to 25, while shoulder and hip motor peak torque rises to 2.1× and arm motor output to 1.4×. Arm payload increases from about 2kg to about 3kg, and the G1+ EDU version is rated at 4kg.
For sensing and interaction, the robot pairs dual eye cameras on the head, a wide-angle chest camera and 3D LiDAR to capture surroundings and objects from multiple angles. It also carries a 6-microphone array that can estimate the direction of sound, two 10W speakers and a head touch sensor, pointing toward reception and dialogue use.
On power, the G1+ runs for about two hours on a swappable battery and can also draw power from an external source. Because price and delivery depend on configuration and application, GMO AI&ロボティクス商事 says it will quote those individually, so the practical cost for any given deployment is not yet publicly fixed.
