SB Intuitions' move puts its in-house Japanese-made AI models directly in front of general users and developers at no cost. The six models cover distinct roles: Sarashina3 mini for text generation and dialogue, Sarashina3 nano for processing many simple tasks at high speed, Sarashina3 embedding for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG, where AI answers using searched documents), Sarashina3 rerank for improving search result accuracy, Sarashina3 guard for judging input text safety, and Sarashina3 translate for Japanese-English translation.
The chat side of Sarashinaサービス covers AI dialogue, web search and writing, plus Japanese-English and English-Japanese translation. On the API side, the company frames the beta as a way for developers and IT engineers not only to run technical verification but also to picture concrete service use cases and check whether the models match intended purposes.
The free beta is available through Google account social login without prior application, subject to a rate limit on requests per period. SB Intuitions says it will collect and analyze usage conditions and user feedback from the beta and apply them to future product development and feature expansion.
