Port Authority of New York and New Jersey launches year-long cargo drone trial starting April 27, testing deliveries between Manhattan and Brooklyn

The Port Authority partnered with Skyports to operate scheduled cargo drone flights over the East River for 12 months, beginning April 27. This is the first official trial of its kind in New York City, focusing on middle-mile delivery (the step between distribution centers and final destinations) and medical logistics.
