n8n template converts PDFs to two-host AI podcasts in 9 Indian languages using Smallest AI

A new n8n workflow generates podcast episodes from PDFs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, and Punjabi, or with cloned voices; a 5-page PDF produces a 4-minute podcast in roughly 60 seconds total using Smallest AI Lightning at ~100ms time-to-first-byte.

The system extracts PDF text, passes it to GPT-5 (or GPT-4o-mini) to generate a structured 2-host script, synthesizes each host turn via text-to-speech at 24 kHz with sub-100ms latency, and concatenates the audio using pure JavaScript without FFmpeg.

Voice cloning allows casting yourself or a colleague as a host using a 10-second voice sample; the finished podcast is emailed automatically, and the workflow can be customized by swapping the trigger, changing the LLM prompt, or using different delivery channels like Slack or Drive.
