Apple HomeView is the centerpiece of a broader push that Apple is making with its new Apple Home Collection. That line was designed together with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, and includes doorbells, security cameras, a smart lock and smart thermostats, so the hub arrives with a family of accessories rather than alone.
The hub also works with Works with Apple Home and Matter accessories, and a wall-mounted version can be attached using a Schneider Home mount. Apple TV 4K (4th generation) also works as a home hub, so owners of that device can see doorbell alerts on the TV and unlock a door without leaving what they are watching.
The pricing runs across the collection, from $199.95 for smart thermostats to $399.95 for the Floodlight Cam, above the $299 for the HomeView itself. HomePod mini 2 arrives alongside the hub, and owners can pair it with Apple TV 4K or use it as a Mac's default speaker.
