A2Z Drone Delivery partners with Alatau Advance Air Group to deploy autonomous drone infrastructure in Kazakhstan's new smart city

A2Z Drone Delivery announced a partnership with Alatau Advance Air Group Ltd. on May 26, 2026, launching at the opening ceremony of the UAM Test Center Eurasia in Alatau City, Kazakhstan. A2Z will deploy AirDocks (dock-based charging stations) and Longtail commercial drones for autonomous and beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) operations.

The collaboration will evaluate last-mile drone delivery, infrastructure inspection, emergency response, and autonomous patrol use cases. A2Z expects to scale the drone support infrastructure with additional elevated AirDocks and multiple fleets of Longtail drones serving different missions from those docks.

Alatau City is an entirely new city under planning in Kazakhstan, designed from the outset as a smart city integrating transport, digital services, and experimental air regulations. The project combines electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, air taxis, and unmanned logistics drones, with a regional network of vertiports to tie services together. Commercial launch is planned by 2028.
