OpenAI said it had 'not decided on timing yet' for any potential public debut, meaning no specific timeline for the offering has been announced.

OpenAI, founded in San Francisco in 2015 as a nonprofit research lab, has since restructured as a for-profit corporation and gained mainstream prominence with the November 2022 launch of ChatGPT.
