Mitsubishi Electric engineer Tadakiyo Seki awarded Kaggle Competitions Master title, placing in top 1.3% of platform participants

Tadakiyo Seki, an engineer at Mitsubishi Electric Corporation's Engineering and Development Center in Japan, has been awarded the Kaggle Competitions Master title by Kaggle, Inc. (a Google LLC subsidiary). The title recognizes competitors who accumulate medals across the platform's competitions.

Seki earned one gold medal and two silver medals by competing since 2024. His gold came from placing 10th out of 1,727 teams in the March Machine Learning Mania 2025 competition (basketball game outcome prediction); his silver medals came from placing 63rd out of 1,424 teams in the PhysioNet competition (electrocardiogram image analysis) and 44th out of 1,867 participants in the Stanford RNA 3D Folding Part 2 competition (RNA structure prediction).

Seki's achievement places him among the top 1.3% of all Kaggle participants, reflecting superior skills in mathematical modeling and machine-learning techniques.
