Claude Lemieux, four-time Stanley Cup champion, dies at 60

Claude Lemieux, who played in the NHL for 21 seasons and won four Stanley Cup championships, has died at age 60. The NHL Alumni Association announced the news Thursday without disclosing a cause or date of death.

Multiple media outlets reported that the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said Lemieux died by suicide around 3:23 a.m. at a furniture store in Lake Park, Florida that Lemieux and his wife owned. Lemieux's son discovered the body.

Lemieux was known as both a clutch scorer and agitator during his playing career.
