Google announces AI-powered audio glasses developed with Warby Parker, Gentle Monster, and Samsung, available later this year.

Google unveiled a new line of AI-powered glasses at Google I/O on Tuesday, developed in partnership with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster and designed in collaboration with Samsung. The devices will pair with Android and iOS devices.

The glasses, which Google calls "audio glasses," let users issue verbal commands to perform tasks via Google's apps and services, including Gemini. A demo showed a user ordering coffee online by speaking to the glasses.

Google previously launched Google Glass years ago. The smart glasses space has since expanded, with major companies including Meta and various startups investing in the category.
