KnowledgeSense said its ChatSense desktop AI, which builds manuals from PC screen recordings, will gain a feature where the AI questions staff on task purpose and judgment criteria and adds their answers to the manual.
Why it matters
Recordings capture only on-screen clicks, not the reasoning behind them, so the new feature aims to preserve judgment know-how for handovers and automation, per the company.
WHO IT HITSCorporate teams that document and hand over PC-based workflows — especially those preparing task automation — are the intended users, since the feature targets judgment criteria that screen recordings miss.

KnowledgeSense's existing desktop AI already turns PC screen recordings into manuals. The gap it now targets is the reasoning layer: why an operator chooses a step, and which conditions trigger a branch. Those points rarely appear on screen, and the company says customers preparing handovers and automation have asked for judgment criteria to be documented alongside procedures.
The planned feature has the AI pose questions to the worker and fold the replies into the recording-derived manual. That links on-screen actions with the business assumptions behind them, which the company frames as making manuals easier to use directly for handover and automation.
The announcement comes as ChatSense, a business ChatGPT service with security and cost features, is used by more than 500 companies, including large enterprises such as TSE Prime-listed firms, according to KnowledgeSense. The company has not stated when the new feature will be provided or what it will cost.
