Amazon invests $25B more into Anthropic, which commits to spending $100B on AWS over 10 years

Amazon announced an additional $25 billion investment in Anthropic (the AI company behind Claude), bringing total committed funding to $33 billion. In exchange, Anthropic promised to spend more than $100 billion on AWS cloud computing infrastructure over the next decade.

The deal directly addresses Anthropic's infrastructure bottleneck — the company has struggled to access enough computing power to train and run its AI models. This fresh capital lets Anthropic rent massive amounts of processing capacity from AWS, removing the main constraint holding back how fast it can improve Claude and serve more customers.
