What happened
LeapAI and BytePlus, which provides the video-generation AI Seedance, will hold a free online webinar on November 5, 2026, from 13:00 to 14:00 covering copyright and likeness rights and Japanese lip-sync quality.
Why it matters
Companies want to use AI video in ads but hesitate over rights and quality, so the session aims to give them the material to decide whether to adopt it.
Summaries like this, every morning.
The webinar comes as domestic video advertising is growing: CyberAgent and Digital Infact research puts the 2025 market at 885.5 billion yen, up 122.2% year on year, with a forecast of 1.6336 trillion yen by 2029. AI video, which can be produced without shooting, is drawing attention as a way to increase the number of creative variations and test different appeals.
LeapAI says it has often seen adoption stall because companies cannot explain internally how generated material's rights are handled and whether Japanese audio and mouth movements are good enough. That is why it is co-hosting with BytePlus, which provides Seedance, to present both the model provider's and the production side's perspectives.
LeapAI's CEO, Yujiro Iwata, said the question he hears most is, "The quality is fine, but are the rights okay?" The company also plans to introduce a first-five-companies plan to produce a roughly 30-second video for 30,000 yen per video, against a usual price from 50,000 yen per video.
