Modellix.ai for ComfyUI opens image, video and audio models

Aurora Mobile, a Nasdaq-listed company founded in 2011, runs Modellix.ai as an integrated platform for AI media generation, offering access to world-class AI models through a single secure and transparent API. The ComfyUI integration extends that same access layer into a visual, node-based environment that many technical creators already use for model testing and production work.

Founder and CEO Chris Lo framed the move around fit with production workflows rather than model quality alone. He noted that creators and developers use different tools depending on their purpose, so the layer for using models must adapt to each production environment. Modellix.ai, he said, is building a cross-environment access layer so users can keep the environment best suited to their process while using the models they need.

The integration also targets a practical pain point: developers have had to prepare a separate ComfyUI package for each model provider. By relying on the latest model schemas and ComfyUI's standard media connections, the new environment aims to reduce that per-provider setup work and let built workflows be reused across multiple projects.
