Notion is replacing flat monthly AI pricing with monthly credits — 1,500 standard and 500 select per Business/Enterprise member — not carried over, and existing workspaces migrate on 11月2日.
Why it matters
Notion says Auto mode, which assigns each task to the most cost-effective model, matched Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Astra quality at about 約90%削減 average cost, so most users may not exhaust their credits.

Notion's announcement drew complaints that the change was for the worse and that credits would run out. The company's answer is Auto, a router that sends simple tasks such as email polishing to lightweight models and harder work such as coding to more capable ones. In Notion's own testing, that approach narrowed the gap with top models: a simple task cost 5 credits on Auto against 50 on Claude Opus 5.5, and a complex database-building task cost 25 against 150.
Yehoshua also points to context quality as a lever users control. He says most AI waste comes from repeating searches that should take one pass, so keeping information in one place and archiving finished projects helps. He recommends investing in custom agents that structure frequently asked data, citing a database his team built from travel receipts.
The shift is not isolated: Microsoft 365 Copilot has also introduced usage-based pricing for some services, so flat-fee unlimited AI for businesses may not be a given going forward. Notion says it evaluates task completion rates and costs with AI developers and publishes the results on its website.
