Summaries like this, every morning.
The announcement builds on an existing Oracle-OpenAI partnership and extends it from infrastructure into the applications layer, where most enterprise work actually happens. Oracle's role is to make its own software — Fusion Applications, NetSuite, the AI Database and OCI — usable by AI agents, while OpenAI supplies the frontier models and ChatGPT as the front end. The pitch is that employees describe a business goal and the ChatGPT plugins assemble the right Oracle tools and information, with approvals and governance retained.
Alongside the workspace, Oracle is pitching security and low-code development as adjacent AI use cases. Oracle AI Security Mesh pairs OpenAI's frontier cybersecurity models with Oracle's testing tools, independent validation and managed protections, so customers can find and fix vulnerabilities across OCI, other clouds and on-premises systems without building their own offensive and defensive agent systems. Oracle App Composer lets employees without coding expertise build and maintain enterprise applications using Codex, with Oracle managing deployment and operations on OCI.
The free-to-start Oracle AI SMB Bundle targets smaller firms and entrepreneurs, bundling $12,000 in annual Oracle cloud credits with ChatGPT Business, Oracle AI Workspace, Codex, Oracle App Composer, OCI and NetSuite QuickStart. Oracle notes that terms, conditions and limits apply, and its forward-looking disclaimer says release timing and pricing may change at its discretion.
