Automation Anywhere announced Wednesday an agreement to acquire Boost.ai, a conversational voice AI company, from Nordic Capital. Boost.ai supports 36+ languages and serves hundreds of customers, including Nordea Bank Adp and DNB Bank ASA.
Why it matters
The deal extends Automation Anywhere's 'autonomous enterprise' bid into customer experience. Boost.ai's regulated-industry base appears to add reliability and compliance depth to its thousands of existing customers.
WHO IT HITSEnterprise IT and operations teams at banks, insurers, and telecoms that already run Automation Anywhere or Boost.ai may see tighter integration between back-office automation and customer-facing voice agents. Contact-center managers at regulated firms evaluating voice AI vendors could see the combined offering as a compliance-ready option.

This acquisition follows Automation Anywhere's acquisition of Aisera Inc. in late 2025, when it integrated Aisera's agentic AI platform into its agentic process automation ecosystem. The company said combining that with Boost.ai will give it the most complete offering on the market for autonomous work across office work, spanning voice, chat and digital channel customer operations, employee operations in IT, finance and HR, and business processes such as ERP and CRM.
CEO Mihir Shukla frames enterprise work as three kinds – serving customers, supporting employees, and running the business – that 'most run in isolation.' Boost.ai CEO Jerry Haywood points to regulated-industry proof that conversational and voice AI can operate at enterprise scale. Voice AI is still a maturing market: contact centers handle the bulk of voice-agent work on existing telephony, though Automation Anywhere wants to be the layer that lets a person talk to a computer to activate a tool for any business process, employee, or customer need.
The body notes adoption is advancing but depth remains uneven. Astute Analytica's AI Voice Agent Market report estimated a $3 billion market in 2025, growing to $45.1 billion by 2035, with customer support experience automation leading in late 2025. Automation Anywhere may be positioning itself strongly if enterprises heed COO Ankur Kothari's call to 'stop measuring agents and start redesigning how work gets done around outcomes,' though the integration and market maturity remain to be seen.
