Matatabi released an MCP (an open standard for connecting AI assistants to outside services) integration for EiDrill on November 1, 2026, so users can ask Claude or ChatGPT for TOEIC-format Part 5–7 drills, vocabulary cards and essay feedback.
Why it matters
Questions, grading and explanations stay with EiDrill, and the correct answer arrives only after grading, so the AI does not give away answers first.
WHO IT HITSWorking professionals preparing for TOEIC can now drill inside the Claude or ChatGPT chat they already use, while their estimated score and streak stay in one place across app and web.

Matatabi, based in Shibuya, Tokyo and founded in February 2025, built EiDrill for busy professionals who want to study English in small daily sessions. The service already bundles TOEIC L&R-format drills, mock exams, AI conversation, essay correction with pronunciation scoring, and English news in one app and web product.
The new integration targets a common complaint about learning with AI chats: question quality and grading vary, and there is no record of what was studied, making it hard to keep going. EiDrill's approach separates roles—EiDrill supplies the questions, grading and explanations, while the AI handles personalized question selection and explanations. Because the study record, review schedule and estimated score are shared with the app, a user can work in Claude or ChatGPT during a break and pick up on the app during a commute.
Security and continuity are part of the design: users never hand their EiDrill password to the AI, the link can be removed at any time, and for conversation practice only a summary and corrected expressions are saved when requested, not the full transcript. Pricing runs from a free tier to Premium Plus at 1,980 yen per month, with annual plans billed at ten months' worth and a 7-day free trial for paid plans.
