Robbyant, Ant Group's embodied AI company, and the Arab Federation for Digital Economy signed a Memorandum of Understanding covering five pillars, from UAE deployment to Arabic-language localization. The MoU was signed by Dr. Ayman Ghoneim and Yu Liang.
Why it matters
The deal sets up a structured mechanism for rolling out the company's embodied AI and robotic products regionally, starting with the UAE. It is a first formal step toward commercial deployment rather than a finished rollout.
WHO IT HITSBusiness-development and partnerships teams at robotics and embodied AI vendors eyeing Gulf markets will see this as a template for government-backed entry, while regional operators in hospitality, retail, logistics and healthcare are the likely first pilot partners.

The MoU is the first concrete step in what the two sides describe as a structured mechanism, rather than a one-off pilot. AFDE's choice of Robbyant rested on the company's full-stack, embodied-AI-native capabilities, which suggests the federation was looking for a partner that could supply both models and hardware-facing systems rather than a single product.
That technical base includes the LingBot 2.0 series announced in July 2026, a model suite spanning depth, vision, world simulation, action and video. LingBot-VLA 2.0, the foundation model in that suite, has pre-training support for 20 distinct robotic embodiments across 17 hardware brands, a figure that points to multi-embodiment compatibility as a selling point for buyers who run mixed robot fleets.
Robbyant's commercial track record so far sits outside the region: a "Smart Pharmacy" solution with Guo Da Drugstore in Shanghai, plus deployments in logistics facilities and industrial machine tending. The Middle East agreement would extend that base into the UAE and other agreed markets, with Arabic-language interaction and local workflows named as adaptation targets, and a cloud-based model toolchain platform in preparation to support development, evaluation and deployment. The pilots listed in the agreement are still exploratory, so near-term revenue is likely to depend on how quickly those move to signed deals.
