What happened
Aolani will integrate Karman's power orchestration platform, built on a custom NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano and targeting rack-level energy management in real time, into its infrastructure stack, with a joint proof of concept on the NVIDIA Blackwell Platform.
Why it matters
The platform aims to increase infrastructure utilisation within the facility's existing power envelope and lower the cost per unit of compute.
What to watch
The joint proof of concept's results will show whether the approach can deliver on Aolani's aim to scale compute without waiting on the grid.
WHO IT HITSData center operators and cloud providers that run high-density GPU workloads, along with their customers who need more compute capacity without additional power, are likely to see direct effects if the proof of concept succeeds.

Aolani, a Singapore-founded neocloud powering AI growth, is teaming up with Karman, formerly Utilidata, to make better use of the power its AI infrastructure already draws. As demand for AI compute rises globally, managing energy smartly has become a way to get more out of existing data center capacity. Aolani is integrating Karman's platform — a dynamic power orchestration system that combines high-resolution metrology with local processing and AI — into its stack.
Karman's platform is built on a custom NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano and is designed to measure and dynamically allocate available power across high-density GPU workloads, managing rack-level energy consumption in real time. That approach is meant to increase infrastructure utilisation within the facility's existing power envelope and lower the cost per unit of compute. The joint proof of concept will run on the NVIDIA Blackwell Platform, and Karman has already unlocked 33% more compute capacity from existing power infrastructure at its first commercial deployment in North America, which could translate into a $20M increase in revenue per 1 MW.
Aolani CEO Nicholas Chia framed the partnership as a way to improve the economics of AI workloads and deliver compute capacity quickly without waiting on the grid. Karman CEO Josh Brumberger said access to power is one of the defining factors in supporting AI adoption. The test will be whether the platform's early results can be repeated for Aolani's deployments, and data center operators and cloud providers facing power constraints will be watching closely.
